First Five Salmon Creek Playgroup
Our free playgroups provide children 0–5 and their caregivers access to developmental information, helpful resources, and lasting connections.

Salmon Creek Playgroup meets every Friday from 11 – 3 p.m. Since we serve a wide range of local areas, the location varies each week.
We meet at Salmon Creek school at least once a month.
Every second Friday we meet at Garberville Library for story-time, songs and crafts with the librarians from 11 – 12, and then meet up somewhere near by after for more fun and snacks.
Other Fridays we will meet up somewhere along the Avenue of the Giants for a nature walk and various fun outdoor activities.

Lux Morgan
Meet our Playgroup Coordinator and Leader! Lux has been leading playgroup since December 2024.
Reading books, especially ones by Dr. Seuss, being silly with friends and nature-based arts and crafts are some of Lux’s favorite parts of playgroup.
- Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, with an Early Childhood Minor
- Over a decade and a half experience in working with children in small group settings
